Facilities and Equipment

*Ultrasound equipment

Ultrasound waves are used to evaluate foot structure and function. Ultrasound can diagnose inflammation, embedded materials like needles or wood. Tendon       tears and joint arthritis as well as fractures can be diagnoses with ultrasound. Ultrasound can be used to guide injections of medicine into a painful area.

*X-ray on premises.

Our X-ray unit is state of the art low radiation digital X-ray. X-rays are taken and immediately evaluated to expedite diagnosis and treatment.

*Doppler Studies.

Evaluation of your foot and ankle circulation is available when the possibility of poor circulation exists. This often occurs in patients with diabetes as well as the     elderly.

*Physical Therapy

Muscle stimulation and ultrasound are available to our patients. This invaluable service is used after surgery to control swelling and aid in rehabilitation.

*Laser

Laser can be used for warts, fungal toenails, unsightly scars, non-healing wounds, pain, swelling and to accelerate post-operative healing.  Our newest laser is a      high energy (30 watt) Kaja device. ena                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Today, lasers are the latest treatment for ugly nail syndrome. The laser treatent can effectively rid you toenails of unsightliness in as little as one or two         treatments, depending on the severity of the condition.  The mid-infrared laser wavelength penetrates the nail, eliminating the destructive infections and   revitalizing your nail as it grows out.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Does it really work?  YES. Lasers for ugly, unslightly toenail infections have a multiple year track record that is very impressive.                                                                             The physical therapy side of laser utilizes the concept of photobiomodulation . The laser is able to revieve pain, resolve inflammation, and increase the speed,   quality, and tensile strength of tissue repair.  It has also been shown to stimulate the immune system, resolve infection, and improve the function of damaged   neurological tissue. Laser therapy is also effective in increasing coolagen production, bone repair, reducing edema, increasing lymphatic drainage, and   increasing  production of capillary beds.
